Find a purpose, develop new skills, share your time... You can make a difference!AccentCare Hospice of Meridian is looking for Volunteers to companion patients and their family throughout the Meridian, MS area.
As a Hospice Patient Companionship Volunteer, you will visit patients and their caregivers on a regular basis to provide:
- Emotional support
- Social interaction
- Supportive listening
- Companionship
- Respite and/or practical support
Communicate concerns and/or needs of the patients/families on a regular and timely basis.
Qualifying applicants are U.S. Citizens that are 15 years of age or older and able to pass a health screen, background check, and drug test.
Notice: Our volunteer opportunities require in-person completion of some hiring modules and training during the onboarding process. Applicants should consider this requirement upon application and be able to accommodate.
