ORGANIZATION: Mission Graduates

  • 40 people are interested

Mission Graduates would like to invite you to volunteer as a Writing Partner for rising high school seniors as they prepare to submit their college applications. Every summer, Mission Graduates pairs volunteer Writing Partners with students to work one-on-one as they write their Personal Insight Questions (PIQ) for college applications. Volunteers and students meet in person at our office on Valencia & 16th Street once a week for 10 weeks. Meetings typically last one hour to 90 minutes. Writing Partners are able to cultivate meaningful relationships with youth and provide them with much-needed support in such an important chapter of their lives. If you have a college degree, are looking to give back to your community, develop meaningful relationships, and impact the lives of our San Francisco youth, I encourage you to apply for this volunteer opportunity.
