The Latino Coalition for Health Equity (LCHE) is a national, community-led, non-partisan, and collaborative movement to build health equity in Latinx communities. We partner with community stakeholders to build community power and amplify local voices in Latino/a/communities.

SaludConTech is an inclusive ecosystem-building community that provides entrepreneurial support for digital health leaders from communities of color.

LCHE and SaludConTech are looking for a volunteer to act as Digital Executive Assistant.


Position Description

The digital executive assistant will be working for the President. The position is remote, preference given to applicants residing on the West Coast but the position is open to all applicants regardless of location.

Description of the position and tasks include:

  • Communicating with volunteers worldwide with Slack, Trello, and emails.
  • Manage Team calendar and schedule meetings and interviews
  • Assisting in bridging and sustaining relationships with Latinx health partners remotely.
  • Assist with researching for resources to fill databases for Latinx health partners
  • Organizing digital files, filling out forms, and performing other related administrative non-profit tasks.
  • Assist with copywriting, editing, and proofreading articles for our website, internal and external documents related to grant writing, legislative initiatives, and our education and outreach projects.
  • Record minutes of meetings and distribute to appropriate stakeholders
  • Manage and maintain organizational documents, including bylaws, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and events
  • Provide administrative support to the President as needed
  • Potential to create your own projects based on your level of interest and capacity.

Requirements:

  • Reliable access to high-speed internet and a laptop/computer
  • Fluent in English (Bilingual preferred)
  • Highly proficient in Google Suite platforms (Gmail, Google Docs, Slides, Spreadsheets)
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Zoom
  • Must be comfortable multitasking between multiple platforms
  • Strong communication skills
  • Responsible, reliable, and capable of working independently
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • An excellent note taker
  • Currently an undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent graduate with a Bachelor's Degree, preferably studying in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Agriculture, Journalism/English, Business, and similar fields or have demonstrated experience in environmental activism/sustainability.
  • Passionate about Latino/a/x health and Latino/a/x communities.

Not required but bonus points if you have experience:

  • Working with Trello, Slack, or similar project management software
  • With social media platforms - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Patreon
  • Knowledge of foreign languages
  • Experience with grant writing, fundraising, or other nonprofit management skills
  • Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all meetings and decisions
  • Manage and maintain organizational documents and ensure they are accessible to all relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and events, including preparing agendas and materials as needed
  • Provide administrative support to the President and Board of Directors as needed

Performance Standards:

  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of meeting minutes and distribution to appropriate stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date organizational documents and ensure they are easily accessible to relevant stakeholders
  • Effectively manage and coordinate
