The Brooklyn Hospital Center is seeking community minded volunteers who would like to volunteer on the Mother/Baby floor of our hospital. These volunteers would visit new mothers, help engage them in conversation and encourage them as they start the next chapter of their lives with their new baby. The volunteer will also help lead expectant mothers on birthing center tours both in-person and virtual. In addition the volunteer would help the mothers if they need comfort items, such as snacks or basic items such as, blankets, diapers, formula and such.

Best times to volunteer: greatest need is from 1 or 2pm, but will also consider volunteers in the late morning. Monday to Friday. We will consider volunteers on the weekends too, but may require training during the week.

Someone who is nurturing and mature
An ideal candidate would have an understanding of breast feeding

The Brooklyn Hospital Center has been Helping Keep Brooklyn Healthy for over 175 years. We are committed to serving Brooklyn and Greater New York City. Our hospital is located in historic Downtown Brooklyn. We are near several of the major subway lines.
