JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Outreach Manager and Community Outreach Director, the Random Acts Support Network Coordinator is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Random Acts Support Network: a section of the Random Acts website with links, toolkits, and other resources on subjects such as (but not limited to) crisis support, LGBT support, self-care, conflict management, and family stress.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Researching, contacting, and communicating with outside non-profits and other organizations who may be potential partners for the Support Network.
  • Researching and producing toolkits for the Random Acts Support Network.
  • Perform periodic reviews and updates of Support Network toolkits and resources to ensure the information remains up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with the IT department as needed for the maintenance of the Random Acts Support Network.
  • Assist the Outreach Manager with any assigned tasks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Familiarity with the overall mission of Random Acts.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including staff, supporters, peers and the public.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, with a strong emphasis on effective writing and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent online research skills.
  • Possess strong self-motivation and adaptability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with building and maintaining relationships with outside organizations and people.
  • Capable of effectively managing tasks or projects from start to finish.
  • Experience working or volunteering in crisis support, counseling, social justice, and/or related fields preferred.
  • Demonstrate a combination of creativity, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening and weekend meetings.
  • Familiarity with Google Docs and Gmail.

This role requires remote working. Applicants must have regular and reliable access to the internet, as well as the motivation to dedicate their time to the organization.
