Are you retired, finding yourself with extra time on your hands? Do you enjoy the outdoors? Are you a natural leader who is passionate about food recovery and the environment? Then you can become a ProduceGood Pick Boss! **Training and equipment will be provided by ProduceGood.

40% of all food goes to waste, and 1 in 4 people in San Diego County is food insecure. Join other volunteers of all ages to glean (pick) fruit in backyard orchards for people in need. Together, we will help address the problem of hunger and waste in one sweet step.

Enjoy a fragrant morning gleaning fruit trees at various residential groves in North County, San Diego, from 9am - 12pm as the Pick Boss! You will be responsible for being the event leader- assisting new volunteers when needed, communicating with the property owner, and then delivering all picked produce directly to one of ProduceGood's over 50 partner agencies that will distribute that food to their local community in need.
