ProduceGood has exciting news...we are launching a NEW program! You will be helping us divert food from landfills to feed those in need by sorting through and rescuing fresh produce that cannot be sold at Jimbo's in Carlsbad. We are seeking to build a team of 4-6 volunteers from Carlsbad, Encinitas, and the surrounding area to help us launch this exciting new program. Prior to the volunteer's arrival, Jimbo's staff will set aside fruits and vegetables unfit for sale (partially damaged, cosmetic issues, "ugly", etc.). Volunteers will sort edible produce from produce that will be sent to compost. Volunteers will then transport the rescued bounty (~200 pounds) to a local feeding agency. To sign up for volunteer shifts, please visit our VolunteerHub page directly, and sign up for the days and times that work best for you. https://producegood.volunteerhub.com
