Volunteers will help with maintenance projects to prevent erosion and build wildfire resiliency in the park. To reduce wildfire risk, volunteers will replace split rail fencing to prevent vehicles from driving offroad into dry grass. A separate group will help plant native trees and spread mulch in the Meadows Cove Day use area. Volunteers will use hand tools such as hammers, electric tools, spades, rakes and shovels to complete tasks. This work will be moderately strenuous and will require standing/walking on uneven ground and working on hands and knees. Ages 12 and older are welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and bring a waiver signed by their legal guardian).

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required to ensure volunteers receive important details on where to meet the group and what to bring. Please sign up on our webpage https://volunteer.calparks.org/.
