Serve Veterans at the end of life. Veteran volunteers will be paired with a Veteran patient - you have the unique ability to relate and connect and create an environment where life review and healing may occur.
Veteran volunteers are part of a distinct culture with their own common language and experience. The camaraderie created between Veterans has been proven supportive for all involved.
A Veteran to Veteran volunteer will also assist with the honoring our Veterans with a pinning and certificate ceremony, and other recognition events, and the Final Salute.
Gentiva Virginia Beach Volunteer Program is certified WE HONOR VETERANS, LEVEL 4 STAR
