Mi Casa Resource Center needs tech-savvy volunteers to staff our open computer lab hours as tutors!
Wednesdays
9:30 - 11:30 AM
and
Thursdays
5:00 - 7:00 PM
Adult participants attend open computer labs to practice new technology skills, ask questions, study online, work towards digital certificates, apply for jobs, edit their cover letters and resumes, build their business plans, design small business strategies online, and more.
Computer Lab Tutors are needed to assure that adult students receive the support they need to gain skills and confidence. The lab tutor will address any tech challenges and/or direct the adult to the appropriate Mi Casa staff member that may provide more specific supports. They ensure the computer lab is kept clean, organized and that the computers are in good working order for the participants' use.
Qualifications:
Must be able to assist participants with basic computer use technical support. It is also expected that the computer lab monitor will alert Mi Casa staff to any lab issues that should be addressed. Spanish skills are highly preferred.
