AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care is looking for a volunteer who can make weekly courtesy calls to our patients, either on Wednesdays or Thursdays between the hours of 10:00 am - 7:00 pm.

Circle of Care calls are made to our patients, who reside in their homes or private residences, and are instrumental in helping our hospice team provide excellent care to our patients.

These friendly check-in calls are made weekly inquiring through a script of questions related to identifying their needs, e.g., medications, supplies, and support. These calls help us to anticipate and resolve patient and caregiver requests before the upcoming weekend while assuring that the patient receives immediate attention if he or she is in pain or has other urgent needs.

A friendly voice and listening ear can make a tremendous difference in the lives of those who are providing 24-hour care to a loved one receiving hospice care.

On a typical week, these calls can take between 1- 2 hours to complete.

NOTE: This volunteer role requires you to be bilingual/Spanish-speaking and have computer and phone access to make and document calls.
