ORGANIZATION: FRIENDS OF THE VET CENTER INC KnowAVet?

This critical position will help save and enhance the lives of some of the millions of Veterans who volunteered to risk their lives for us and our way of life. You will be working as a member of the Senior Management team, guiding and coordinating our Web, Social Media, Outreach, Newsletter and other teams to reach our goals.

KnowAVet? is an IRS approved (82-1566302) FREE service to veterans and our families, designed to Attract, Inform and Connect whose who would risk their lives to protect ours and our way of life. We provide information and assistance, to aid in learning of 90+ issues we have earned help for, and how to get that help, through government and/or community resources, for our best possible life after service.

Description

Your expertise in (perhaps not directly using some of these but being aware of them so they can be part of our overall plan when appropriate) events, social media, video outreach, targeted communication, coordination of messages and images across all our medium, building local outreach, networking with other organizations, doing presentations to groups of vets via zoom and on line, etc. will make you the central focus of our efforts.

Your work will help us to achieve our mission of reducing the 48 veteran suicides a day, as well as helping all veterans to a better life, with help for issues they don't even recognize they have. It will also help millions of Senior Veterans and Surviving Spouses who live under the poverty line to dramatically increase their income via government benefits they have automatically earned.

KAV currently helps vets and their families via our:

  1. Physical and online outreach;
  2. Website - with 90+ issues and hundreds of videos, along with links to literally thousands of local resources to help veterans;
  3. "KnowAVet News", has well researched articles on topics to better the lives of Post 911 vets and their families, as well as Senior Vets and Surviving Spouses;
  4. KAV provides personal help via email, social media and phone, through our live, "Champions" for anyone who asks for help.

  • We will work with your schedule, matching it with our President and Executive Director. Minimum requirement would be two meeting per week. One being our Team Leader's meeting and the other being specific you your plans and resources required.
