If you have a desire to support a mission with tremendous impact then serve with us. We are in the process of expanding operations to increase our impact and are seeking passionate community members to join our volunteer committee. Committee members receive training and incentives while gaining experience in civic engagement. Employment opportunities with our nonprofit are awarded to our volunteers, which demonstrates the value we have for our volunteers time and commitment to the organization’s mission. As a volunteer member you will serve on one of four (1 of 4) committees:

Digital Outreach: activities including creating video and image content, social media engagement, creating blogs, email blast, post sharing and engagement, increasing publications etc.

Programming: activities include supporting curriculum development, increasing resources, collaborating on donation campaigns and potentially leading mentoring or training workshop opportunities.

Community Outreach:
activities including attending events, assisting with event sourcing and planning, increasing community relationships and referrals, and gathering and sharing organization information, and volunteer and programmatic recruitment.

Fundraising: activities including collaborating on campaigns, supporting peer to peer funding drives, being an ambassador increasing donations, sponsorships, and fundraising capacity.


Selected candidates will be asked to provide a copy of their updated resume, complete registration forms, and potentially a background check depending the committee assignment. 1 Shift

  • 11:00 AM to 05:30 PM EST
    Tues, Thurs, in-person on occasion from 11am-5:00pm; remaining work hours remote.

Mission Statement

Counselors in the Community Alliance- CITCA serves disadvantaged individuals throughout the United States from urban & rural communities with mental and behavioral health resources by increasing access to services, resources and support for children, adults and families impacted by poverty and poverty-related issues and bridge the gaps to strengthen community resilience through stewardship, economic opportunities, health and education equity.

Description

CITCA is a national 501c3 on a powerful mission to increase strengthen mental health awareness and community resilience. Our association includes a collaborative alliance among counselors, mental health professionals, and community members nationwide engaging in civic community activities that promote mental health awareness and resiliency. Through such allyship the organization strengthens anti-poverty initiatives that bridge the gaps on access to care and socioeconomic resources including programs, education and employment resources.

Since incorporating the nonprofit has been driving impact in social emotional learning, SEL and increasing access to counseling services for low income families. The organization also offer programs for youth leadership development, advocacy, community resources and programs that contribute to prosocial development and other services to close equity gaps

We are seeking volunteers to serve with us who share similar passions to increase mental health awareness and strengthen communities. Volunteers are the driving force our mission would be incomplete without and we welcome all with a passion too serve.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Orientation or Training
  • Volunteers commit a minimum of 30 hours per month, averaging 5 hours per week not including trainings and certifications offered to volunteers by the organization. Volunteers who nominate to lead committees commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work independently, self manage, and collaborative with virtual teams. Majority of activities will be virtual unless the volunteers activity includes mentoring, program operations or community outreach.
