Brooklyn Lake Campground
The campground is located on Brooklyn Lake. Every site has a view of the lake ranging from great to spectacular. The lake is a nice canoeing lake in the shadow of the snow capped Browns Peak. This campground provides 19 campsites with tables, fire rings, trash pick up, and vault toilets. There is fishing access in Brooklyn Lake and trail access to the Sheep Lake Trail #389 and Glacier Lakes Trail. Internal-combustion motors are prohibited on the lake, only hand-powered boating allowed. There is a carry down access for boats (no ramp). Dogs must be leashed in the campground.
Nash Fork Campground
There are 27 sites, all with access to a picnic table, fire ring, metal barbecue grill, and vault toilets. The campground is convenient to the Snowy Range Scenic Byway (State 130). There are 102 recreational lakes in this area, with an extensive network of trails linking them including Brooklyn Lake, which is located 3 miles north of the campground. The Nash Fork Creek meanders through the campground.
This position is about 50-minute drive to Laramie, WY and 50-minute drive to Saratoga, WY. Cell phone service is limit ed but having a cell phone booster might help. Hosts will receive $20 per day for reimbursement. Propane, gas and mileage for driving around campgrounds, and gas bought for a personal generator can be reimbursed with receipts. No power, water, or sewer hookups are available. Potable water is available inside the Brooklyn Lake Campground, look for the water pump. A black water dump station is available in Laramie.
