You can make a difference! As a Hospice Volunteer you can provide companionship to terminally ill patients and their caregivers. We are looking for individuals who are caring and compassionate. Patient companions allow caregivers a much needed break from their daily routine of caring for their loved one. Whether they need to leave the house for errands or simply go into another room and take a nap, your compassionate presence will be much appreciated by the patients and their caregivers. Patient companions sit with the patient and provide socialization, read, play games, watch TV or just listen.

Training is required and provided. Weekends are available. If you are interested in becoming a patient companion volunteer, contact Evelyn Guerin at eguerin@gentivahs.com for more information.
