You can make a difference! As a Gentiva Hospice Volunteer you can provide companionship to terminally ill patients and their caregivers. We are looking for individual who are caring and compassionate. Patient companions allow caregivers a much needed break from their daily routine of caring for their loved one. Whether they need to leave the house for errands or simply go into another room, your compassionate presence will be much appreciated by the patients and their caregivers. Patient companions sit with the patient and provide socialization, read, play games, watch TV or just listen. Training is required and provided. Weekends are available. You can make a difference in a family's life in which they have just lost a loved one due to a terminal illness. As a Hospice Bereavement Volunteer you can provide bereavement support to patient's families. We are looking for individuals who are caring and compassionate. Bereavement volunteers allow families the opportunity to express their grief after their loved one passes away. Your compassionate presence will be much appreciated by the family.
