When we talk about children welfare programmes, we are talking about children in orphanages who are either from street families with no parents at all or those who've been abandoned by their parents for various reasons including drug abuse and alcoholism or those parents who felt they can't afford basic needs for them. These children are taken in by well-wishers in various orphanages or by the government in orphanages where they're sheltered, fed and taken to school or day care centers. In most of these orphanages, children are given proper care and love despite the fact that there is scarcity of resources needed for their daily use. Childcare Volunteering Program in Kenya, Africa volunteers therefore assist the children on various roles, some with the help of a coordinator or a teacher while others they can just fix themselves. some of these chores includes but not limited to, assisting the children in doing homework, playing with the kids, coloring, washing dishes with the kids, preparing grains for cooking, painting, teaching children how to make new things like crafts and many others Doors are always open for volunteers who may want to help the children centers with anything including buying food for them or learning materials like books or even making a structure for them like classrooms or a dormitory where applicable. This goes a long way in pushing these children to another level. An additional $100 is required to cater for placement logistics. Duration : charges Week 1 $295 Week 2 $495 Week 3 $695 Week 4 $895 Week 5 $1095 Week 6 $1295 Week 7 $1495 Week 8 $1695 Week 9 $1895 Week 10 $2095 Anyone wishing to have their program extended will be required to communicate the same a week before so as to have it planned and pay 35 USD per day and if more than a week, program fee will be required depending on the extension duration.

Description

Salire Afrika Volunteers is a platform established in January 2020, and is located in Nanyuki which is one of the busiest tourist destinations in Kenya. Nanyuki,a town northwards of Nairobi, borrows its name from the Maasai community, its earliest inhabitants. (meaning 'place of red water' in the Masai language) .It is situated just north of the Equator, and at an elevation of 1,947m above sea-level, is the 14th highest town in Africa. Indeed,it is home to Africa's 2nd highest peak at MOUNT KENYA. The town is strategically sitting on one of the longitudinal imaginary lines, the EQUATOR! As Salire is Italian for Soar, Salire Afrika gives you an opportunity to soar Afrika on the wings of charity and adventure. We aim to create opportunities for volunteers across the world who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of indigenous and local communities living in Kenya! The volunteers' primary destination will be our volunteer houses from where they will be matched to their specific programs and placements either in teaching, youth and sports, child care, special needs, nature conservancies, medical outreach, animal welfare, women and girl/ boy child empowerment. These placements spread across town and its outskirts.
