Description of Role:

This volunteer position is two-fold: 1) to provide event support with set-up/tear down, and assisting visitors through answering general questions and questions about the Museum collection, and 2) to help with social media and marketing for private event rentals by taking quality pictures during events, helping post to Instagram and FB, and by researching free public listings to help market the Museum’s rental offerings.

Primary Responsibilities: I will send out the Private Events Calendar as soon as I book any events.

You are welcome to review to see if any of the dates work for you to assist with welcoming & directing guest flow.

Skills/Qualifications Required: Hospitality is the #1 qualification I am looking for to work events.

As long as you enjoy smiling, greeting, and talking to guests, you’re what we’re looking for to give our guests the best possible experience while attending events at the B&O.

Tech, social media, and marketing skills are also a huge plus!

Desired Experience: Any hospitality background, museum tours background, working with people making them feel welcomed at all times. Social media and marketing skills are a huge plus.
