PROFILE

Zion World Wide Mission Inc, is an international non-profit organization supporting low-income and no-income individuals amid our communities. Zion is looking for Handymen and Maintenance Technicians, who are skilled in a broad variety of household jobs. These skilled volunteers with work to support our Elderly Homeowner’s Program. They are responsible for completing routine maintenance, undertaking repairs and tackling a range of other practical tasks. Their duties can include formwork, carpentry, and electrical work. They are responsible for grounds-keeping and waste removal.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Consumer Experience.

• Completing minor plumbing repairs such as fixing dripping taps or running toilet cisterns.
• Installing household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers.
• Installing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
• Fitting shelves, hanging pictures and installing window locks.
• Undertaking basic gardening.
• Negotiating the scope of work and timescales with participants.
• Handymen do practical tasks that make life easier for our elderly homeowner participants.
• Handymen complete minor repairs, install safety equipment and help assemble furniture.
• Handymen complete small jobs that require specific knowledge or expertise such as fixing light sockets, re-hanging doors and repairing fixtures or fittings.
