PROFILE

Zion World Wide Mission Inc, is an international non-profit organization supporting low-income and no-income individuals amid our communities. A Zion Counselor is a qualified individual who uses counseling methods to help people manage and overcome barriers of need and mental/emotional issues. Working with directly with individuals and/or families or groups; their duties include listening to program participants, developing individualized treatment plans, and creating individual coping strategies.

THE FOLLOWING PROGRAM COUNSELORS ARE NEEDED:

• SINGLE MOTHERS COUNSELOR
• FAMILY PLANNING COUNSELOR
• FAMILY COUNSELOR
• CHILDREN AND YOUTH COUNSELOR
• GENERAL COMMUNITY COUNSELOR
• HOMELESS SUPPORT COUNSELOR
• ELDERLY SUPPORT COUNSELOR
• IMMIGRANT CARE COUNSELOR

RESPONSIBILITIES

Consumer Experience.

• Perform initial evaluations of participants needs and develop customized needs/support plans.
• Educate support staff and participants on stress and trauma coping mechanisms.
• Provide individuals and families with the resources they need to reach personal goals.
• Monitor participant progress and modify their needs/support plans as needed.
• Coordinate with other social and healthcare organizations and agencies, and community outreach programs to provide participants with needed services.
• Complete continuing education courses to maintain relevant and up-to-date practices in their area(s) of expertise.
