Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental and emotional strength and resilience of students and adults through education. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.
Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being. Our mission is to teach SEL at every school in the country. Resilience is looking for Game Development Project Manager and offering internship programs in the Game Development Department. Our internship programs are ongoing with a required 4 month commitment of 5 hours per week. There is the option to continue after meeting the minimum requirement. This internship is unpaid, but students may receive academic credit through their university. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institute to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept the position. Responsibilities

  • Promote the social emotional curriculum through developing projects for the game development department.
  • Actively participate in the development process, engaging the team and resolving issues.
  • Implement, creating, and adjusting methods that execute through Unity.
  • Create and tweak 2D and 3D experiences developed with Unity.
  • This role can transform into a Unity Developer (Generalist) role due to the needs and nature of projects.
  • Assist in running department and making improvements.
Qualifications
  • Experience with remote production software.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Can attend weekly remote meetings.
  • Have an eagerness to learn and improve critical skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Objective learning.
  • Preferred: C# and/or Unity Experience, but not required.
  • Managing the development of game development is a plus.
  • Willing to learn and can lead effectively.
Learning Outcomes
  • Interns will demonstrate an understanding of game development within Unity.
  • Interns will improve their skills in creativity, communication, and critical thinking.
  • Interns will gain the ability to collaborate with the Curriculum and Development Department and Team members within the Game Development Department.
