Students who master foundational math skills are prepared for greater challenges in high school, college and the workplace. By combining the people power of AmeriCorps with cutting-edge math research, Math Corps helps make sure every student has a chance to succeed. This position will be in person, on a school campus, during school hours, Monday- Friday, from August 26, 2024 - June 20, 2025, 27.5 - 35 hours per week.

Description

Reading & Math, Inc. is a national nonprofit that replicates evidence-based AmeriCorps programs: Reading Corps, Minnesota Math Corps, Minnesota Opportunity Corps and Recovery Corps. These programs combine the power of national service with instructional science to help struggling students transform into confident learners and help adults achieve economic stability. Reading & Math, Inc. administers the expansion and replication of Reading Corps in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Georgia, Florida, and California, and provides technical assistance to other states interested in scaling these programs to help more children achieve grade-level reading and math proficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Ampact will provide the training, and the commitment will be 27.5 - 35 hours per week, for 10 months (August 26, 2024 - June 20, 2025).
  • *Be 18 years or older by December 1. *Have a high school diploma (or equivalent). *Be a citizen, national or lawful permanent resident. *Can successfully complete a background check.
