Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental and emotional strength and resilience of students and adults through education. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.

Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.

Resilience is looking for an Outreach Senior Advisor.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team and make a meaningful impact in our efforts to create a safer and more compassionate society. The Outreach Advisor will be responsible for providing expert guidance and advice on all aspects of our organization's outreach strategy. The advisor will be developing and implementing outreach strategies that promote Resilience Inc. and its programs, while building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the education and mental health communities. An important part of the success of our SEL curriculums is that teachers, parents, counselors, and the public know they are available as a resource. You will advise the executive team on how to identify schools and areas where we can implement Resilience curriculums.

This is an unpaid, volunteer, remote position with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote Resilience Inc. and its programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the education and mental health communities.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Plan and coordinate events and activities that promote Resilience Inc. and its programs.
  • Analyze outreach data and develop reports to track performance and inform future outreach strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations for improvements to Resilience Inc.'s outreach efforts.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to interns and outreach department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an outreach role.
  • Strong communication skills and the willingness to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of outreach strategies and tools, including event planning, social media, email marketing, and public relations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a team.
