We're thrilled for the annual Fight For Air Climb to return to Comerica Park this Spring! The signature fundraiser for the American Lung Association will take place throughout the day on Sunday, May 19.

To signup - please register at www.ClimbDetroit.org as a VOLUNTEER. Shift times noted in this listing are estimated shift times for this year. Once you register at ClimbDetroit.org we'll coordinate with our volunteer photographers and videographers once the schedule of events has been finalized for this season.

Volunteer photographers and videographers are needed to help capture the energy and excitement of the day. As a Volunteer Photographer, you'll be asked to join us for a 4-5 hour volunteer shift to help capture our participant and partner's photos. Your images are a favorite component of the event.

Some of the imagery we are hoping to capture again this year are candid photos, start and finish line pictures for all participants, venue shots, sponsor and partner images of products and general event photos including volunteer and staff engagement! You can view our photos from prior events here: https://photos.midlandlung.org/Stair-climbs/Detroit.

We ask that videographers share their video footage with us to share with event participants and to promote Fight For Air Climb and American Lung Association events.

Last year more than 1,300 participants and volunteers joined us, including nearly 300 firefighters and first responders! Join the American Lung Association in Michigan in their efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, as well as support the Lung Association’s COVID-19 Action Initiative.

During the registration process please indicate your interest as a volunteer photographer/videographer. Please contact us at EventsMI@lung.org or 248-784-2000 (option #4) for more information.

Volunteer photographers and videographers will also be utilizing their own equipment to capture imagery.

Mission Statement

The mission of the American Lung Association is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.

Description

For more than 115 years, Americans have trusted us to protect their lungs, whether it's researching treatments and cures for lung diseases, keeping kids off tobacco, including e-cigarettes, or advocating for laws that protect the air we all breathe.

Our goals are big-defeat lung cancer, create a tobacco-free future, champion clean air for all, and improve the quality of life for those living with lung disease.

Because when you can't breathe, nothing else matters.
