ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities Counseling and Adoption Services, Refugee Resettlement Program

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 6 people are interested

We offer education classes for our adult refugee clients, most of whom are parents. It takes a couple of weeks after their arrival to Erie to get the kids enrolled in school. If there is no one to take care of the children, this usually leaves the mother at home, not being able to take part in the ESL or Cultural Orientation sessions.

We need 1 or 2 volunteers per class to help entertain the children so that the parents can learn! This opportunity is on an "as-needed basis", so there will be times when shifts are not available.
