ORGANIZATION: Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee and the CAC Office on Aging

Knox County Museum of Education in South Knoxville is open Monday through Friday 11am to 4pm. The museum preserves a history of education in our county. Exhibits include collections of yearbooks, histories, records, memorabilia, and photographs from schools all over Knox County.

KCME volunteers help support the Museum in a wide variety of ways!

- Greet guests and explain exhibits

- Help organize new displays

- Sort and catalogue donations

- Help with administrative activities

- Help with newsletter mailings

If you would like to help preserve our history, teach others, and support the growth of this wonderful community resource, contact us today! Located conveniently between Chapman highway and James White Parkway in the Sarah Simpson Technology Building, the museum has been growing and needs volunteers during the Mon-Fri 11a - 4p timeframe. Weekly or monthly volunteers are needed!

Knoxville - Knox County CAC and CAC Office on Aging have many programs available to assist local community needs; and many of these programs utilize volunteers to assist with making a positive impact in the lives of Knox County community members.
