Are you a musician wanting to make a difference? Then consider volunteering to change to lives of children in our Hampton Roads area with our Heartstrings & Valves program! We are looking for volunteers that are skilled in the arts of guitar, violin, brass instruments, or piano to help instruct students at our community Kroc center. Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (all 3 days not mandatory) from 5-6pm at the Kroc on 1401 Ballentine Blvd, Norfolk VA. In addition to musical knowledge, this program assists students in building important life skills like patience, perserverance and self confidence. If interested, please register as a volunteer on our website at Volunteer-Opportunities - The Salvation Army USA | Hampton Roads VA Area Command (salvationarmypotomac.org) and/or contact Erin Sweeney at 757-793-1961 or by email at erin.sweeney@uss.salvationarmy.org
