Do you love dogs, cats, and critters? Do you also have email marketing campaign expertise? If so, we have a position for you! The Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) is looking for a volunteer (unpaid) Email Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team! SASF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on raising critical funds for the Seattle Animal Shelter. We support programs at the animal shelter that the City of Seattle cannot fund on their own.

The Email Marketing Manager will own all email marketing campaigns for the foundation. As a member of the Marketing Committee, this role will have the unique opportunity to drive awareness of the nonprofit’s marketing and fundraising campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be able to write, curate, design, test, and deploy all outbound marketing emails. They can work within brand guidelines to create layouts that help reinforce the foundation’s voice through visual touchpoint, and will collaborate on projects with other individuals on the Marketing Committee. Some creative projects this position helps with include the monthly newsletter, GiveBIG Campaign, Furry5K (June), and Furevermore Auction & Gala (October). This animal lover will have attention to detail, a can-do, self-driven attitude, and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Campaign Monitor (or other email service providers), email data management and marketing analytics
  • Understands A/B testing of content, cadence and CTAs to achieve marketing growth objectives
  • Experience increasing and retaining email subscribers
  • Well-versed in email marketing compliance and best practices
  • A positive attitude and genuine desire to make a difference for Seattle’s shelter pets

Time commitment: 3 hours per week, on average.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! Please email your resume to SASF’s Recruiting Specialist, Denise Lin, at dlin@seattleanimalshelterfoundation.org .

Description

In 2010, the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS) and a committed group of volunteers recognized that there were certain needs above and beyond what the City of Seattle could fund. To better address these needs, the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) was formed.

SASF is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer board that is dedicated to enriching and enhancing the lives of animals in the care of SAS. Thousands of dogs, cats and critters are helped every year and this support is made possible through generous donors and committed volunteers.

By raising these critical funds, SASF contributes to the health and wellbeing of Seattle’s homeless animals by funding life changing programs and services led by SAS. We invite volunteers and the local community to be part of the effort, and if you are already a supporter, thank you for putting the animals first.
