2023 Campground Host - Council & Weiser Ranger Districts

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: USDA Forest Service

The Payette National Forest is seeking campground hosts for campgrounds on the Council and Weiser Ranger Districts. Volunteer campground hosts are our front-line representatives for the United States Forest Service. Few Forest Service employees have as much direct daily contact with members of the public as a volunteer campground host. This service is greatly appreciated by the agency and by the visiting public. We rely on our hosts to be courteous and friendly to forest visitors and provide information about rules and regulations and recreation opportunities. Duties of the host will include providing visitor information, campground cleanup, landscaping and general maintenance. A subsistence reimbursement allowance may be available.

Campground host applications are accepted as for as long as positions are vacant. Additional applications will be retained for a waitlist, in case we have an unexpected vacancy for one of the host locations.
