Remote Volunteer Position

Dallas Pets Alive! is a highly respected animal rescue organization and provides the perfect
place to utilize your skills to grow personally and professionally. Our mission is to promote and
provide the resources, education, and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion
animals in North Texas - and volunteers make our mission a reality.

With over 350 Volunteers on more than 10 teams, we have numerous opportunities for you to

As our Adoptline Volunteer, you’ll play an important role in responding to emails that come to
the Adoptline inbox. Adoptline is usually one of the first pieces that leads to a successful
adoption.

Team: Adoption

Location: Remote/Virtual - Virtual from anywhere, understanding we are in the CST time zone.
The majority of the emails from your day need to be responded to and a daily recap
report needs to be sent between 6-8 p.m. central time.

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours once a week on a set day depending on the number of emails
received that day

Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation.

Reports to: Adoptline Lead Volunteer and Adoption Director

Works with: The adoption counselors and leads from all teams along with potential adopters

Position Responsibilities:
● Respond to inquiry emails from potential adopters
● Process applications by recording and forwarding them
● Sort miscellaneous emails to the correct team
● Send a daily report of emails received

Skills and Qualifications best suited for this position:
● Professional communication skills
● Must be at least 18 years of age
● Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications
● Fluency in English; bilingual a plus!
● Ability to operate a computer or mobile device

business(es) related to animal welfare.
