ORGANIZATION: Rhythm of Life Society

We are looking for an experienced grant writer who is used to researching and recruiting for funding, especially with non-government sources.

Job Responsibilities

  • Researching government, foundation, corporate grants, and other fundraising or grant opportunities
  • Maintaining reports on a calendar of submissions and other deadlines
  • Establishing and maintaining working relationships with grant funders
  • Maintaining funding opportunity database and tracking system
  • Administration tasks as needed

Requirements and Skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, pay attention to detail, and maintain accurate records
  • Being detail-oriented and having exceptional organizational management skills
  • Exceptional English communication and editing skills
  • Preferably experience in fundraising and non-profits

We work with youth, families, and communities across British Columbia to support health and fitness and counter isolation by fostering community through music and movement.

Description

This year, we are proud to sponsor the Drum Run Adventure Tour which is a running and drumming tour throughout B.C. held in partnership with the BC Children's Hospital Foundation. The Drum Run will follow our founder Lyle Povah who plans to run over 1,400km across 20+ cities in BC beginning in September 2023 in order to help raise money for the Rhythm of Life Society's mission.
