- Sessions: 8:30 am - 10:30 am,
- Breakout sessions: 1:45 pm - 3:15 pm, 3:30 pm - 5:15

Summary
Conference volunteers will perform tasks ranging from guest registration to assisting with breakout sessions. There are a number of different opportunities and varying times for which someone may volunteer. Volunteering at InterActivity 2023 is a fantastic way to both attend the conference and help the community. If someone volunteers for a breakout session, they will be able to participate in that particular session. Plus, if they volunteer 4+ hours in one day, they are able to sign up to attend an additional session as a guest.
Responsibilities
- Follow all volunteer policies as outlined in the Volunteer Handbook.
- Assist and support conference staff in maintaining a safe environment for guests.
- Engage with guests as they enter the enjoy the conference.
- Distribute registration material and tote bag.
- Aid in guest check-in.
- Use appropriate communication skills to interact with guests, other volunteers, all LCM Staff, and visitors.
- Staff entrance doors and help attendees find seats.
- Handout any materials if applicable
- Coordinate with Volunteer Manager and ACM staff.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Age: At least 18 years old
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Description
The Louisiana Children's Museum was founded in 1986. The museum was located in the Warehouse District until 2019, when we opened our new 8.5 acre location in City Park! Our gallery spaces focus on Literacy, Environment, Arts & Culture, and Health & Wellness. Louisiana Children's Museum promotes hands-on, participatory learning for children ages birth to 8 years. Encouraging discovery through observation, inquiry, creative construction, role-playing, problem-solving, and free-play, the Museum motivates children to develop their cognitive, physical and social skills while enjoying fruitful interaction with adults and peers.
Do you like fun and the sound of laughter? How about helping kids discover their immense potential? Louisiana Children's Museum welcomes volunteers for a wide range of roles including assisting with learning and play experiences our galleries, education programs, special events, admin, maintenance and other roles! We currently have youth (15+) and adult volunteer opportunities.
