Do you love to explore local history, have an eagle eye for editing text, or are looking to connect with community members?
Archive Volunteer
Westminster Public Library is seeking volunteers to review and edit online editions of Westminster historic newspapers for accuracy, reveal the fascinating history of yesteryear, and help this unique online resource be more searchable. Eat snacks, build community, promote Westminster history, and earn volunteer hours.
QUALIFICATIONS: WORK/PHYSICAL
- Comfortable with computers/laptops, typing, and web browsing
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Interest in Westminster history and local community
- Requires consistent sitting at a desk with a computer
ENVIRONMENT:
- Working on detail-oriented project with group members, sometimes quiet
- Learn about Westminster history
- Build community and meet new people
- Expand online searchability of Westminster history
- Snacks provided
