Food Rescue Leaders Needed in Escondido!

Do you live in the Escondido area? Are you a natural leader who is passionate about food recovery and the environment? If so, you would be a perfect fit to become a ProduceGood Pick Boss! **Training and equipment will be provided by ProduceGood.

Lead groups of other volunteers of all ages to glean (pick) fruit in backyard orchards for people in need. 40% of all food goes to waste, and 1 in 4 people in San Diego County is food insecure. Together, we will help address the problem of hunger and waste in one sweet step.

You will be responsible for being the event leader- assisting new volunteers when needed, communicating with the property owner, and then delivering all picked produce directly to one of ProduceGood's over 50 partner agencies that will distribute that food to their local community in need. Driver's license and willingness to use personal vehicle for citrus transportation is required.
