Director of Operations for Horse Rescue (virtual opportunity)

Reporting to the Board, the Director of Operations will provide administrative and clerical support to assist with effective operations of Furvivors Horse Rescue. This role requires the ability to exercise discretion and take independent initiative. This role utilizes online communication channels, such as internet, Goggle Drive, Zoom, WhatsApp, phone, e-mail, and text to deliver information to the donors, partners and volunteer staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Communicate in between donors (including potential donors), volunteer staff & support organizations

· Prepare Canva marketing materials, as needed

· Assist with grant application research as needed

· Assist with Social Media Accounts; posts, messages, etc., as needed

· Design and manage monthly newsletters

Skills and Specifications

· Proficient in Google Drive; sheets and docs

· Proficient in Canva

· Ability to work well with others and to complete work with minimal supervision

· Excellent communication skills - written and verbal

· Exceptional organizing and planning skills

· Ability to understand, and execute complex written and verbal instructions

· Able to maintain client confidentiality

· Able to react effectively and calmly in emergencies

· Able to deliver excellent customer service, externally and internally

· Ability to meet close deadlines

Local candidates would be a bonus, but not necessary.
