Volunteer opportunities include.

  • Preregistration: Welcome and greet our donors. Help donor's check-in advise on wait time. Handing out promotional gifts to donors.

Please note: We can work with your schedule. We have two shift morning 9-2 and afternoon shift 2-6 (these are flexible)


REQUIREMENTS


  • Must be at least 16
  • Orientation or Training
  • No court-ordered community service allowed

Every day in the U.S., patients in hospitals, surgical centers and emergency treatment facilities need approximately:

  • 29,000 units of red blood cells
  • 5,000 units of platelets
  • 6,500 units of plasma

Vitalant ("Vye-TAL-ent") is the nation’s largest independent, nonprofit blood services provider exclusively focused on providing lifesaving blood and comprehensive transfusion medicine services for about 900 hospitals and their patients across the U.S. Every day, Vitalant needs to collect about 5,300 blood, platelet and plasma donations to help save lives.
