Overview

We are a small but mighty non profit organization in Detroit with big goals. We are looking for a motivated and organized Volunteer Coordinator to help us make those goals a reality. The Volunteer Coordinator will be an integral part of our team, responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers.

• Recruit and manage volunteers, including onboarding and training for concession stands
• Develop recruitment strategies to attract volunteers
• Train and orient volunteers on concession stand operations
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with volunteers
• Monitor volunteer attendance and performance
• Liaise with management to ensure proper staffing of concession stands
• Develop strategies to increase volunteer engagement and motivation
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours
• Monitor policies and procedures for volunteers, including guidelines for proper conduct and safety
• Develop and implement strategies to recognize and reward volunteers
• Monitor volunteer attendance and performance, providing feedback and guidance as needed

• Previous experience managing volunteers
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Passion for the mission of our non profit
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire volunteers
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Proficiency in Google Suite / Microsoft Office Suite and database
