ORGANIZATION: Verona Senior Center

SUMMARY:

Set-up, prepare, and clean-up for special events, occasionally involving meals.

DUTIES:

  • Arrange tables, chairs, and decorations.
  • Prepare food, including baking cookies for programs and events, as needed.
  • Set dining or other tables.
  • Assist participants as needed.
  • Clear and clean tables or other surfaces.
  • Perform other work as requested by Program Manager or Nutrition Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to comply with operational and sanitation procedures.
  • Project a pleasant disposition when interacting with seniors, treat others with courtesy and respect, and make everyone feel welcome.
  • Ability to stand for 2 to 3 hours, to bend and crouch, and lift 10 pounds.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Dependable and accountable.
  • Ability to follow Center policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality.
