SUMMARY: Set-up, prepare, and clean-up for special events, occasionally involving meals. DUTIES: Arrange tables, chairs, and decorations. Prepare food, including baking cookies for programs and events, as needed. Set dining or other tables. Assist participants as needed. Clear and clean tables or other surfaces. SUMMARY: Deliver meals to home delivered meals recipients in the town and city of Verona. DUTIES: Check in at the Verona Senior Center before your shift. Report to the kitchen for your assigned meal route. Deliver meals to assigned route. If delivering on a Tuesday, will deliver milk with meals. Drop off meal at individual’s home. Bring back reusable bags. Record mileage and number of meals in binder. Report any updates or changes to the front desk volunteers. Perform other work and projects as requested by Center staff. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Covid Vaccination. Masks must be worn in kitchen and while delivering meals. Valid driver’s license. Background check. Training with RSVP directly. Required RSVP paperwork. Dependable and accountable. Project a pleasant disposition when interacting with seniors, treat others with courtesy and respect, and make everyone feel welcome. Delivery of meals must happen between 11 AM - 1 PM. Ability to follow RSVP and Senior Center policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality.

Volunteer Drivers Urgently Needed to provide seniors (60 yrs. and older) with rides to medical and other important appointments, or to deliver meals to seniors in the city and town of Verona. Very flexible schedule, no minimum hours required, and mileage reimbursement/extra liability insurance provided. SUMMARY: Set-up, serve, and clean-up for the daily meal service at the Verona Senior Center. DUTIES: Heat up the heat packs for the Home Delivered Meals re-usable bags. Wash re-usable containers and various dishes as needed. Do the laundry. Fold Towels. Clean tables. Take out trash if needed. Clean surfaces and handles Clean, stock, and organize the coffee station. Clean refrigerator in main room and kitchen as needed. Inform Nutrition Coordinator or Aide of any needed supplies. Perform other work as requested by Nutrition Coordinator or Aide. QUALIFICATIONS: Desire to work in food service and serve the needs of seniors. Ability to comply with operational and sanitation procedures, including wearing protective gloves, facial mask, and following proper hand washing protocol. Project a pleasant disposition when interacting with seniors, treat others with courtesy and respect, and make everyone feel welcome. Ability to stand for 2 to 3 hours, to bend and crouch, and lift up to 10 pounds, including pans and trays of food. Dependability and accountability. Greet and direct users of the Center to their activity or program. The Greeter answers questions and provides information about activities and programs to users. DUTIES: Greet all users to the Center and assist them with checking-in. Respond to questions from users and direct them to events and programs. Perform other work as requested by Center staff. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Warm, welcoming, positive, and enthusiastic disposition, including treating others with courtesy and respect and making everyone feel welcome. Ability to sit for 1 to 4 hours, to bend and crouch, and lift up to 5 pounds. Dependable and accountable.
