SUMMARY:

Set-up, serve, and clean-up for the daily meal service at the Verona Senior Center.

DUTIES:

• Heat up the heat packs for the Home Delivered Meals re-usable bags.
• Wash re-usable containers and various dishes as needed.
• Do the laundry.
• Fold Towels.
• Clean tables.
• Take out trash if needed.
• Clean surfaces and handles
• Clean, stock, and organize the coffee station.
• Clean refrigerator in main room and kitchen as needed.
• Inform Nutrition Coordinator or Aide of any needed supplies.
• Perform other work as requested by Nutrition Coordinator or Aide.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Desire to work in food service and serve the needs of seniors.
• Ability to comply with operational and sanitation procedures, including wearing protective gloves, facial mask, and following proper hand washing protocol.
• Project a pleasant disposition when interacting with seniors, treat others with courtesy and respect, and make everyone feel welcome.
• Ability to stand for 2 to 3 hours, to bend and crouch, and lift up to 10 pounds, including pans and trays of food.
• Dependability and accountability.
• Ability to follow Center policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality.
