drama

The ArcSF is a nonprofit that partners with adults with disabilities to empower them to live life to the fullest and achieve their dreams.

We are in need of volunteers/actors to support adults with disabilities in their drama classes and productions. We need people with theater, dance, and public speaking experience. We also welcome tech people so we can make our productions into films.

We have hybrid classes (come in person or via zoom when you are available):
Monday & Wednesday Drama at 3:30 PM

Please get in touch with Volunteer Manager, Barbara Streett at bstreett@thearcsf.org to partner with our drama participants and find other ways to get involved in our community.

About The Arc of San Francisco

Location:

1500 Howard, San Francisco, CA 94103, US

Mission Statement

To transform the lives of adults with developmental disabilities by advancing lifelong learning, personal achievement and independence.

Description

The Arc San Francisco is a lifelong learning and achievement center for over 840 individuals with developmental disabilities in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties.

The Arc San Francisco is widely recognized for its innovation in education and career programs as well as independent living services, health and housing advocacy and a broad range of arts and recreation opportunities.

We support individuals with autism, Down syndrome and other disabilities to meet the challenges of adulthood while achieving personal goals and lifelong success. Our affiliations with over 200 business, education, health and community partners enable us to provide successful internships and employment opportunities while offering a more diverse, enriching life experience for the individuals served.

As a true community partner and thought-leader in disabilities, we believe in educational outreach, the power of business partnerships, and the importance of being a primary resource for families, supporters, public policy makers and all those who share our vision of creating a more informed, diverse and inclusive society.
