Gender Freedom Society is seeking a Podcast Co-Host with passion and expertise, preferably from under the trans umbrella for their invaluable perspective, while also encouraging cisgender individuals to apply, as diversity enriches our discussions. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in creating engaging and thought-provoking content that explores topics related to gender identity, gender expression, LGBTQ+ issues, and social justice. You will collaborate with fellow hosts, guests, and the production team to produce high-quality episodes that educate, inspire, and promote inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-host podcast episodes alongside other hosts, fostering engaging discussions and maintaining a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Research and suggest relevant topics, guests, and resources for podcast episodes, ensuring content remains current and informative.
  • Conduct pre-interviews and research on guests to prepare for podcast recordings, facilitating insightful conversations.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative approaches to podcast content and outreach strategies.
  • Contribute to scripting and structuring podcast episodes, ensuring clarity and coherence in messaging.
  • Collaborate with the production team to coordinate recording schedules, manage logistics, and meet deadlines.
  • Promote podcast episodes on social media platforms and engage with listeners to foster a vibrant and supportive community.
  • Stay informed about developments in gender studies, LGBTQ+ rights, and related fields to provide accurate and up-to-date information to listeners.
  • Represent the Gender Freedom Society with professionalism and integrity in all interactions related to the podcast.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for issues related to gender identity, gender expression, and LGBTQ+ rights
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience in podcasting, broadcasting, public speaking, or related fields preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Comfortable with technology and willingness to learn new tools and platforms
  • Commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and equity in all aspects of podcast content and engagement
  • Reliable internet connection and access to necessary recording equipment
  • Flexibility to accommodate recording schedules and occasional travel if necessary

Gender Freedom Society is an organization focused on the needs of Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming people. As a community, GFS provides a safe-space for members to meet other like-minded folks from around the world, engage in peer-to-peer counseling, and be seen and heard for who they truly are. GFS is a resource of information for the Trans/GNC community, to provide educational resources, local gender-affirming services locations, and local trans-friendly businesses. GFS participates in national and local social activism, and provides a safe-space for members to actively plan for activism in their communities.

Everyday our team of global volunteers comes together in an effort to make this world a better place for the Trans/GNC community.
