The Curriculum Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum materials and programs for the organization, with a focus on ensuring that the curriculum aligns with the organization's mission, goals, and standards. The Curriculum Specialist will work closely with the Curriculum Manager, staff, and stakeholders to identify and analyze curriculum needs, design and develop curriculum materials, and provide professional development and support for staff. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of curriculum design, instruction, and assessment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum materials and programs for the organization, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, goals, and standards.
  • Identify and analyze curriculum needs, and design and develop curriculum materials, including lesson plans, assessments, and professional development resources.
  • Provide professional development and support for staff, including training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Manager, staff, and stakeholders to identify and analyze curriculum needs and to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the curriculum.
  • Attend meetings, events, and other functions as needed to represent the organization and advance curriculum goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in curriculum and instruction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in curriculum design and instruction
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design, instruction, and assessment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience working with diverse student population
