The Communication Director is responsible for developing and implementing the organization's communication strategy, with a focus on promoting the organization's mission, programs, and impact to a variety of audiences. The Communication Director will work closely with the organization's leadership, program staff, and external partners to develop and disseminate compelling messaging, and will lead the development of multi-channel communication campaigns to support the organization's goals. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong written and oral communication skills, and will have experience managing a wide range of communication channels and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of the organization's communication strategy, with a focus on promoting the organization's mission, programs, and impact to a variety of audiences
• Oversee the development of multi-channel communication campaigns, including the creation of messaging, content development, and the management of communication channels and platforms
• Collaborate with program staff to develop and disseminate program-specific messaging and content
• Maintain relationships with media outlets and other external partners
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts
• Attend meetings, events, and other functions as needed to represent the organization and advance communication goals
• Supervise and mentor a team of communication staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 7+ years of experience in communication, public relations, or related field
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience managing a wide range of communication channels and platforms
• Ability to develop and implement communication strategies
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to lead and mentor a team
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
