Gender Freedom Society is seeking a dynamic and creative leader to fill the position of Director of Communications. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive communication strategies, and provide leadership to graphic design, information technology (IT), podcasts, and social media management teams. In collaboration with the Development team, you will ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to promote Gender Freedom Society's mission, programs, and initiatives.
- Oversee the design and production of visual assets, development of Podcast, and content creation across social media channels, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain a cohesive brand identity and messaging across all communication channels.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics and trends to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in communication, graphic design, IT, podcasts, and social media to enhance communication efforts.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Podcast Manager, InfoTech Manager, and Social Media Manager, ensuring effective team performance and professional development.
- Ability to interview and onboard positions within the Communications Department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in graphic design software, IT systems and platforms, podcast production tools, and social media management tools, preferably in a nonprofit setting
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to the Gender Freedom Society's mission and values, with a desire to make a positive impact in the community
