  • Obtain and review the daily surgery schedule.
  • Welcome patients coming for surgery and follow check in procedures.
  • Provide information concerning general hospital services regarding the surgery procedures and give assurance that hospital staff will provide complete information as it becomes available. Volunteer should never give medical information or refer to personal medical history.
  • Answer incoming telephone inquiries.
  • Direct visitors to appropriate areas of the hospital, escort if schedule allows.
