Here at Early Learning Essentials, we optimize this critical period of brain development by providing children facing barriers with the most stimulating preschool environment possible and by individualizing services. Healthy early child development, which includes physical, social/emotional, and linguistic/cognitive development (each equally important), strongly affects mental and physical health, literacy and numeracy skills, and life success.
We have some students who could really benefit from having a best friend with them in the classroom. Best friends help give them the attention they need and help teach valuable life, educational, social, and emotional skills.
We are looking for volunteers able to help out for 3-8 hour shifts 2+ times a week. Schedules are flexible.

We are a local 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization also knows as Mountainland Head Start, Inc. providing high-quality services since 1978. We are a single-purpose entity, meaning our services are uniquely targeted to the early childhood field. We have a long established record of serving children who face barriers to success and their families in Utah, Wasatch and Juab counties in the state of Utah for over 40 years.
