Mission Statement

We create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. We’re always looking for people eager to invest in the future of a child in their community. For a few hours, a couple times a month, you can give (and receive) the invaluable gift of friendship.

We have been matching caring adults with local children for more than 45 years and have impacted the lives of over 11,000 youth. Big Brothers Big Sisters aims to make meaningful, monitored matches between volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 5 through young adulthood in Erie, Niagara and the Southern Tier. These quality relationships are built on friendship and trust, and are proven to be a significant positive influence in the life of the child, and the volunteer.
