World Computer Exchange

World Computer Exchange(WCE) is a national nonprofit whose mission is to send refurbished computerss with educational content to classrooms in developing countries. Since 2007 the Chicago Chapter of WCE has sent over 7000 computers

Recently WCE has decided to ship only laptops and has moved to new smaller location.

We are seeking to add members to our current team. A good candidate will have skills at diagnosing and repairing common laptop problems. This skills are commonly possessed by someone with an A+ Certification, although this certification is not required to apply.

Candidates will be trained on our protocol of refurbishing that involves Triage, Repair and Installation of an operating system, software and educational content. We install LInux OS. Knowing Linux is helpful but not required. After training candidates will be allowed to sign up for work sessions which are typically on Saturdays.

Computers are then shipped to classrooms in developing countries

Please feel free to contact my with questions.
