Your assistance is needed to provide support to patients and their loved ones within the Emergency Trauma Center at St. Cloud Hospital.

Volunteers will offer a listening ear while providing comfort and support to patients and their loved ones when professional care is not required. Volunteers help to ensure patients are comfortable by offering comfort-makers such as a blanket, pillow, ice water, coloring books, etc.

Volunteers assist staff by transporting patients, providing wayfinding assistance to loved ones, restocking supplies and help with clerical tasks as directed.

Volunteer must feel comfortable with persons in crisis and have excellent customer service skills.

Volunteer shifts are available Sun-Sat 11 a.m.-3 p.m., 3-7 p.m., 7-11 p.m.

  • 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM
    Shift is available Sun-Sat
  • 03:00 PM to 07:00 PM
    Shift is available Sun-Sat
  • 07:00 PM to 11:00 PM
    Shift is available Sun-Sat

  • Orientation or Training
  • 50 total service hours. 4-hour shift once a week.
  • Pre-placement assessment(s) which may include but is not limited to a pre-placement physical exam, alcohol and drug screen, reference verification and a criminal background study.
