Global Legacy Network (GLN), Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing academic, health, social, and supportive services to youth and young adults in under-served communities within the Triangle area in North Carolina, Africa, and the Caribbean. We are looking for a dedicated fundraiser to help us develop and implement our capital campaign strategy. In this role, you will organize fundraising events, identify and reach out to potential donors, and build marketing campaigns that increase public awareness about Global Legacy Network programs and community initiatives. This is primarily a relationship management position, as we hope to encourage our donors to renew their support. You will also assist with grant proposals, requesting local businesses, foundations and corporations to support our organization. Our ideal candidate has several years of fundraising experience and is passionate about our mission of empowering and uplifting our youth.

Responsibilities
  • Implementing a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Organizing and attending non-profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders.
  • Establishing good relationships with staff, members of the public, and the media.
  • Develop and maintain systems to track all grant and fundraising activity deadlines and prepare reports and proposals.
  • Identify new opportunities for seeking new funding from regional, state and national funders.
  • Cultivate relationships with local businesses, current and potential corporate and foundation sponsors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, with a focus on individual and corporate giving.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to write compelling grant proposals and reports.
  • Experience planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Strong analytical and budgeting skills.
  • Familiarity with fundraising software and donor management databases.
  • Passion for youth advocacy and empowerment issues.
